2. Hosting and local resources

This website is operated on web servers located in Germany. The hosting provider may process technically necessary access data on my behalf in order to deliver the website securely and reliably.

The photographs, screenshots and graphics used on robnet.dev are my own content. The Space Mono font files are stored locally on the web server and are delivered directly by robnet.dev; no connection to Google Fonts is established when the website is loaded. The same applies to the website's own CSS and JavaScript files.

No analytics service, advertising network, social-media pixel, externally hosted JavaScript framework or content-delivery network is integrated into the normal page load.

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, the web server may automatically process technical access data in server log files. This may include:

• the page accessed,
• date and time of access,
• amount of data transferred,
• referrer URL,
• browser type and version,
• operating system,
• IP address.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain stability and investigate security incidents. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, based on my legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.

4. Contact by e-mail / Microsoft 365 Exchange Online

My business e-mail is handled through Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online. If you contact me by e-mail, the sender and recipient addresses, message headers, message content and any attachments are processed through Microsoft's mail infrastructure and in my mailbox so that I can receive and answer your enquiry.

Where your message relates to the initiation or performance of a contractual relationship, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR; for other business communication, processing may be based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Microsoft describes an EU Data Boundary for Microsoft 365 customers in the EU/EFTA, subject to limited operational exceptions in which data may still be transferred or accessed outside that boundary. I therefore do not claim that e-mail data is processed exclusively on servers in Germany.

Please note that ordinary e-mail communication may not be fully secure unless additional encryption is used.

5. Contact via WhatsApp Business

I also offer WhatsApp Business as an optional contact channel. The WhatsApp button on robnet.dev is a normal external link: no WhatsApp script, Meta Pixel, social plug-in or WhatsApp cookie is loaded when you merely visit this website. A connection to WhatsApp/Meta is established only if you actively open the WhatsApp link.

If you then send me a message via WhatsApp, your telephone number, profile information made available by you, message content and any attachments are processed within WhatsApp's infrastructure. Depending on the communication, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b or lit. f GDPR. WhatsApp is entirely optional; for detailed enquiries I prefer e-mail.

6. Cookies and tracking

robnet.dev does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or tracking technologies. The website application itself sets only the first-party cookie robnet_lang after a language has been selected. Its sole purpose is to remember the expressly selected language while moving between pages. The cookie is valid for up to one year, is marked HttpOnly and uses SameSite=Lax.

If you manually switch between the light and dark design, the selected display preference is stored locally in your browser under robnet_theme using Web Storage (localStorage). This value contains only the selected theme (light or dark), is not used for profiling or tracking and is not automatically transmitted to the web server. In addition, a small localStorage entry named robnet_intro_seen remembers whether the visual start intro has already been shown so that the homepage can open directly on later visits, after reloads or after a language change.

No consent banner is displayed because no consent-requiring tracking is used. The language cookie serves only the expressly requested language function and is treated as technically necessary under Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. The locally stored theme preference and the intro marker likewise serve only to reproduce functions you actively use on the website.

7. External links

robnet.dev is intentionally designed to be largely self-contained. External destinations are linked only where they provide a specific function, for example WhatsApp. terminal.robnet.dev is a separate project operated under my own domain. No data is sent to an external destination merely because the link is visible; the respective provider is contacted only after you open an external link.

8. Retention

Contact messages are stored only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry or to comply with statutory retention obligations. Server log files are normally deleted after a limited period unless longer storage is required to investigate security incidents.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may in particular have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• right of access,
• right to rectification,
• right to erasure,
• right to restriction of processing,
• right to data portability,
• right to object to processing,
• right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent,
• right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
